GOAL 9: INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE
The ninth SDG is to build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.
It addresses the need to develop and upgrade reliable and sustainable infrastructure, such as transportation, energy, and information and communication technology (ICT), to support economic activities and improve living standards.
To achieve the ninth SDG, countries are encouraged to invest in infrastructure projects that are inclusive, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced.
Additionally, this goal promotes the integration of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into value chains and encourages research and development (R&D) investments to foster innovation.
