Hello,
I am Derin E. Sezgin. The founder and designer of this site. I am a 9th grader, currently living in New Jersey, U.S.A. I am passionate about the SDGs, and also STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) in general. When I started learning how to code, I thought my first project could be about the UN SDGs. That is the same game you can play on this site. I'd love to improve the game's playability, some design elements, and ideally create more games or gamified tools to help generate awareness and support for the SDGs. This is just the beginning.
Update: Nearly two years after I initially founded this website, I have just visited the United Nations again and still appreciate its beauty as an organization as much as last time. On January 1, 2025, I have successfully completed the e-learning course Introduction to Sustainable Development in Practice with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. I plan to continue my studies with the subsequent course, Advancing Sustainable Development in Practice.
This website is designed solely for the purpose of generating awareness, action and support for the UN SDGs among kids, and to create a better connection between us, the world and its inhabitants.
